Beloved lei greetings. Crystal blue waters. Jutting green cliffs. Colorful sand beaches. Near-perfect weather. Inimitable culture.
The Hawaiian Islands have long since beckoned travelers from all over the globe. Today, the islands’ scenic wonders and multicultural values harmonize with world-class hotels and resorts, contemporary venues, in-the-moment experiences, and hospitality as warm as the tropical temperatures – luring travelers year round for events of any size, from professional conferences to exclusive special events to international summits.
With the spirit of aloha, we invite you to meet Hawaiʻi and get a special glimpse at what makes our beloved destination unlike any other place in this world.
The Hawaiian Islands were born of volcanoes millions of years ago and inhabited by Polynesian voyagers who arrived in outrigger canoes more than 1,500 years ago.
Throughout the 19th and 20th centuries, immigrants from many other lands moved to Hawaiʻi, changing the landscape established by Native Hawaiians. What resulted is a unique, multi-ethnic and diverse society that characterizes the paradise that has evolved into the Hawai‘i of today.
This island kingdom became a territory of the United States in the late 19th century and was admitted as the 50th State in 1959.
The majority of Hawai‘i’s people are descended from Native Hawaiians, other Polynesians, Europeans, Japanese, Chinese, Koreans, Filipinos, Okinawans, Puerto Ricans, Pacific Islanders, and Southeast Asians.
Festivals & parades celebrate this diverse heritage & offer unique opportunities to enhance your program.
The indigenous Native Hawaiian culture permeates all aspects of life in the islands, including ‘ōlelo Hawai‘i (Hawaiian language) and hula (dance), which are time-honored traditions that continue today.
“[...] stewardship of the land is part of the intrinsic culture of Hawaiʻi. [...] Every piece of the landscape has a story behind it and everyone here is a keeper of those stories.”
- Jesse Ashlock, US Editor in Chief, Condé Nast Traveler
Mālama – the Hawaiian cultural value that means to care for and give back – gives your attendees purpose, meaning and a deeper connection while meeting in Hawaiʻi.
The Hawaiian Islands are some of the most ecologically diverse in a single location.
With 10 of the world’s 14 climate zones, Hawaiʻi is ‘all the world in one place.’ On the island of Hawaiʻi alone, attendees can experience four of the world’s five major climate zones – and all but four of the world’s subzones.
The islands’ beauty is unsurpassed and their fragility equally so. The people of Hawaiʻi are committed to supporting programs that protect the verdant beauty and natural resources of the islands for generations to come.

The main point of arrival to the islands is Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (HNL) on O‘ahu – the largest airport in Hawaiʻi. Airlift to Hawai‘i is ample, including many nonstop routes and connections through major hub destinations that make travel from anywhere dependable and seamless.
Year-round, nonstop service to Hawai‘i comes from 40-plus gateway cities — Denver, New York/Newark, Los Angeles, Dallas, Tokyo (Haneda/Narita), Sydney and Seoul, to name a few — plus seasonal service from several more.
Hawai‘i is meant to be seen, island by island. Frequent flights create breezy transfers
among the six main Hawaiian Islands.
There are more than 300 daily inter-island flights representing over 30,000 seats each day between Hawai‘i’s nine airports.
On each island is a well-connected network of roads and highways, along with ample taxi service, shuttle services and public buses in the capital city and Hawai‘i’s
small towns.
